…and right now I need your help.

Many of you know that my health journey is a big part of my story. A few years ago I never would have been able to spend months traveling on a mission trip-I was too weak, too tired, in too much pain.

By the grace of God I have experienced much healing. About 3 years ago I discovered a doctor in California. Until that point most doctors weren’t able or willing to help me, not in that way that I needed. They prescribed medication and sent me on my way. Dr. Joe was different-he listened, he understood, he cared. Through supplements, lifestyle changes, and diet adjustments, he has given me new hope in my physical body.

Most of my appointments with him have been over zoom (other than one visit 2.5 years ago). In about a month my team will be in California and I have the opportunity to have an appointment with him in person. This will give Dr. Joe the opportunity to do an assessment of where I’m at and what I need, above and beyond what he can do remotely.

The most difficult part of working with a functional medicine doctor is paying out of pocket. I have been lucky to have a well-paying job and make it work. However, now that I’m on the mission field I’m not able to make that work. Which means I need to humbly ask for more financial support. This feels difficult considering I’m not even fully funded yet, but I’m confident that God put this opportunity in my path and will provide.

To move forward with my appointment I need about $600. I know-it’s a lot. And to be honest, I hate asking. I would prefer to not need help, to be able to do it all on my own. But, the Lord’s been teaching me that we’re not supposed to do this life alone. We need Him. And we need others. My weakness (especially in my autoimmune disease) increases my need for Him. My limitations allow His power and glory to be revealed.

And with that, I humbly ask you to prayerfully consider helping me. If 12 people donate $50 I will have enough to see Him.

Please reach out if you would like to talk about anything I’ve shared or have any questions.

If you would like to donate toward my Dr. appointment, donations will be made directly to me here:
