Gen Z is a generation of pioneers.

I've spoken this over every squad I've lead and continue to believe it with my whole heart.

I am currently the mentor over 3 Semesters squads. These squads range from ages 18-21 and the trips are typically 1-3 months.

As a mentor, I train, equip, and empower leaders and squads as they go out on the field to make disciples.

Two of my squads are in Guatemala and one is in Black Mountain, NC.

I recently had the opportunity to spend a few days with my squad in NC. They have been immersed in the life and culture of a missional community in Black Mountain. Part of their ministry is working at a thrift store and cafe that funds a children's home. They also serve on campus, engage in teachings, and worship nights.

During team time I asked, "What are you learning about yourself and what are you learning about God?" Here are some of their responses:

  • "I'm learning that God still heals and miracles still happen."
  • "I'm learning that I don't have to be alone to find rest."
  • "I'm learning that my feelings are valid."
  • One girl shared that she didn't know if she heard the voice of God. We prayed John 10:27 over her: My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me

I was blown away that after one week, they were discovering so much about God and what He has spoken over them.

I have a passion for helping them discover their unique identity and how God has purposed them for the Kingdom.

And yet, the Lord uses them to bless me. Being in their space reminds me of who I am and that God is still moving and working.

Prayer requests:

  • Pray for continued protection over my squads as they finish their last week and a half on the field!
  • Pray for divine encounters in Guatemala and NC as they are led by the Spirit to spread the message of the kingdom!
  • Pray for my support raising! To work as a mentor and lead these groups, I am responsible to raise $3,715 for AIM by September 1st.
