Saturday morning was our last day of ministry at the food pantry. The 8 of us (our team, Jace & Lo, and Heidi) loaded up, grabbed coffee & chai from Dutch Bros, and drove 2 hours up the mountains to McCall. As we drove into town Kenz stated that she felt like we were in a Hallmark movie. I’ve never seen anything like it-the lake, the mountains, the cute town.

We spent the evening paddle boarding, worshipping around the fire, and playing cards (If you’ve never played golf you need to! My team introduced me to the game and it’s so fun!).

The next day we decided to stop and grab brunch in town before heading back to Boise.

There was a 30 minute wait so Jace was kind enough to wait with the pager while the rest of us went down the road to the lake and grabbed coffee.

When we sat down I immediately noticed the kindness of our waitress. Kenz and I both knew that we wanted to pray for her before we left. She had an accent so we asked where she was from. She probably gets that question often because she quickly said “I’m British,” and then walked away.

At the end of our meal we asked how we could be praying for her. She then shared that she is a believer and how difficult it is to work in a restaurant environment because others take advantage of her. We prayed that she would be a light to others, for hearts to be changed, that others would see Christ in her, and for patience and strength with others.

I share this story to show how simple it is to live life as ministry. We could have eaten our meal, talked with one another, and moved on with our day. But, we stepped out in obedience.

This week I encourage you to slow down, notice others, compliment them, ask their name, let them know they are seen and loved.

I also want to thank those of you who responded to my last post through prayer or donations. Within days, I had half of what I needed ($300). Now, I’m $150 away from what I need to proceed with my appointment.

I have one month left to raise $2201 on my blog. If you feel led to donate and help me stay on the field with my team, or donate toward my health needs, you can use any of these:

I’m in awe of the way God is moving in my own life and around our country. Please join me in prayer for awakening and revival!
